Excursion to Budva and Dubrovnik – The pearl of the Adriatic Bus tour: 4 days / 3 overnight stays
PROGRAM:
Day 1:
Departure from Omv Plovdiv in 03.30 hours., by Shel Pazardjik 04.00 o'clock , .from Sofia at 05:00 hours by Alexander Nevsik. Transit through Serbia. Arrival in the pearl of Montenegro - the Budva Riviera. Hotel accommodation 2*/3* in Budva. Dinner in the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay.
Day 2:
Breakfast. Free time or optional excursion /for an additional fee/ to Kotor and Perast /Departure to Kotor and get to know one of the sites included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Exploring the old part of the city – Kotor fortress: the impressive fortress walls, churches and cathedrals, old ancestral houses. From the very first steps in old Kotor, you will feel like you are in a fairy tale – the narrow cobbled streets intertwine and whichever you take you won't go wrong – chances are you'll find yourself facing a centuries-old church, a beautiful Gothic building or a tightrope between two windows, on which hung laundry is waved are the same. A variety of places to eat or have a coffee, neat little shops for whatever, beckon you to stop, you try, you are looking at, you touch, you choose. The bazaar of Kotor is an enclosed space, sort of like a courtyard with a big heavy gate, behind which you will find incredible beauties – handmade Christmas toys and decorations, wooden children's toys, colorful ceramic bowls and cups and all kinds of goodies. Free time for a walk and photos. Departure for Perast. Perast is a small town with only one main street, but there is 16 churches and 17 noble houses. Most of them today are just enigmatic ruins, sunk in bushes of bougainvillea and wild figs, bearing a melancholy memory of the time, when it was a rich and prosperous city. Perast resembles a piece of Venice, which seemed to have sailed up and dropped anchor in the Bay of Kotor. A walk along the coast and a visit to the Church of Saint Nicholas.
Optional excursion for an additional fee: Sailing by boat through the beautiful bay of Boka Kotorska. A truly magical experience, which will transport you to an incredible natural landscape.
Return to Budva. Included in the package: A walking tour of the new part and a walk in the old part of the city: the fortress walls, the picturesque and preserved medieval streets and squares, the citadel, the bishop's palace, Catholic and Orthodox churches. Free time. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Day 3:
Breakfast. Free time or optional excursion /for an additional fee/ to Dubrovnik, crossing by ferry across the – the narrow place of the most beautiful bay of the Adriatic - Kotor. Passing through the new city - Dubrovnik by bus and walking in the old part of the city: the main Stradun street, the fortress walls, Princely Palace, Franciscan and Dominican monasteries, etc. After lunch, upon request for an additional fee - a boat trip and a visit to the closest island to the city - Lokrum, declared a national park, famous for its magnificent botanical garden, Maximilian's Palace and the Fortress Royal, "Dead Sea". Free time for photos or independent walking and sightseeing of Dubrovnik. Return to Budva. Dinner in the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay.
Day 4:
Breakfast. Departure from Budva to Bulgaria. On the way, a photo break to see the island of Sveti Stefan from afar, connected by an isthmus to the mainland, which they call Montenegrin Monaco. The bus stops far away at a turnoff from the road, because there is no way to walk freely on the island, unless you are a guest of one of the VIPs, bought or rented properties on this piece of land. In fact, the island is owned by the Greek company “Aman Resort”, who rented it for 30 years vs 2, 1 million. euro. If you're lucky, you might meet Claudia Schiffer, who has a house here or some other star like Robert De Niro or Sylvester Stallone, who also visit this special place. Passing through Shkodrenskoro Lake and a photo break near the lake. It is the largest lake in the Balkans, of which two thirds belong to Montenegro, and a third to Albania. There are many traditional fishing villages around Lake Shkodra, the castle of Tsernoyevtsi from 15 century, island monasteries and pristine beaches. Arrival in Sofia and Plovdiv in the evening.
