The monasteries, built on the tops of these rocks, are wonderful examples of Byzantine art. Visiting two of the six functioning monasteries. Visiting an icon workshop.
We head to the fabulous town of Trikala to immerse ourselves in the Christmas atmosphere . Trikala becomes even more beautiful during the holidays, when lights illuminate every corner, leading to the Elven Mill.
Like every year, this year also Elficheska militsa will open its doors, reminding us, that fairy tales are not just for children. As night falls, the elves light the fireplaces and suddenly cats with twinkling eyes and fluffy tails (the characters from the musical) they start wandering around. Songs, laughter and dancing fill the magical city.
But that's not the only thing, which can be enjoyed at Trikala Park. A lot of exciting events are happening here. Santa Claus is ready to take pictures with everyone, bakers make delicious pastries, and the treats from the chocolate factory will not leave anyone indifferent.
A little further, of the largest plane tree in Milos, a fairy invites you to her tree house. Children can draw figures on the asphalt or look at the city from the height of a Ferris wheel. A walk to the Elven Mill will be unforgettable and you will always remember it with a sense of nostalgia for the past childhood.
