Easter in Meteora - Paralia Kateryni - Thessaloniki

Program

I day - departure from Plovdiv to 05:00h, from Pazardzhik in 05:40h, by Ihtiman in 06:10h, Departure in 07.00 hours Alexander Nevsky Square at ul. "Oborishte" Sofia. Crossing the border points Kulata-Promahon. Arrival in Thessaloniki and city sightseeing: The port, Aristotle Square, The White Tower, the monuments of Philip II of Macedon and Alexander the Great, the church "St. Dimitar". Free time. Departure to the Olympic Riviera and hotel accommodation. Overnight stay.

Day II – Snack. One-day trip to Meteora area (an extraordinary natural phenomenon - rock massifs of more than 60 million years with 6 functioning monasteries, which have housed monks seeking solitude for centuries). Tour of the largest monastery "Great Meteor" Tour of the entire rock massif and photo break. Visit to a workshop for making Byzantine icons. Possibility of coffee/lunch. Participation in the Festive Easter Liturgy. Christ is Risen. Overnight stay.

Day III – Breakfast. Free time for rest, walk and relax. Easter is the most solemnly celebrated Christian holiday in Greece, this day is set aside for celebration. Dinner in a traditional Greek restaurant (tavern) with live music and a rich menu with traditional dishes for the holiday.

IV day – Breakfast. Departure for Bulgaria. Arrival in Sofia in the evening.
